OUR PURPOSE
We are dedicated to help people learn about and love our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our ministry is expressed through fellowship, worship, discipleship and outreach.
We gather together as a church family to worship our God. We demonstrate our commitment to the Lord as we pray encouragingly together, sing joyfully and listen to messages designed to help us walk with God.
So many people ask, why go to church, I already believe? Fellowship, simply means being together, enjoying the company of others and encouraging through compassion. We fellowship with one another as a sharing of Christ’s love. We come together in church and renew our relationships with God and His people and we know that we are not alone.
This is about learning and growing as individuals and spiritual people. It is one thing to know the Commandments, it is certainly another to follow them. We provide a means to learn and develop our spiritual maturity.
We reach out our hands and share our hearts with our community. We strive to let others experience the joy and grace of knowing Jesus. We reach out to people by offering classes and events to make it easier to enter into a sanctuary. It is helping people to come to the Lord, with a friendly hand and heart as guide. OUR VALUES God’s Word We look to God’s Word as the "true" guide for what we believe and how we are to live.
We pray to give thanks and praise to God. We pray regularly for our country, our community, our church and each other. It is through prayer that we receive guidance and comfort.
To be a Christian means to follow Jesus. We need to receive guidance and education to grow spiritually. We know we can’t do this alone, so we join together to encourage, teach and grow.
Everyone has needs, concerns, worries and fears. We don’t always acknowledge the need for help, our need for a meal, a visit or a phone call. Our church motto, "God cares and we care" is demonstrated by people giving practical and spiritual support, sometimes without being asked... because we are a family of compassionate people... and we do it “in any way we can”.
Who wants to be alone? Especially as we live our lives as Christ would have us, we need to be able to reach to others to share life experiences, joys and hurts. Through fellowship, we become stronger because we are fortified by the loving encouragement of others.
