Worship Style & Expectations

At Providence we believe that God has reached out to us in grace through Jesus Christ.  In response to His amazing love and grace we have two worship services each Sunday at 9:30am and 5pm that give us the opportunity to begin and end our Lord’s Day giving God praise, deepening our walk with Him and also encouraging one another on our faith journeys.  We believe we are called to serve all members and guests so we include both contemporary and traditional elements in our worship and have a special children’s message for our younger children.  Our worship “style” is thus blended and informal.  We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word so all sermons are based on the Bible and help us understand God’s incredible love and how God wants us to respond with faith and love in our daily lives.

We believe all people are invited by God to come to worship so we work hard to make everyone feel welcome at Providence.  We believe that God is more concerned with our hearts than how we look so come dressed respectfully but also comfortably.  There is a Welcome Center located inside the front doors, staffed with members who will answer any questions you may have or give directions to any area of the church.  At both services we have nurseries available for infants (children who are not walking) and toddlers (usually up to age 3).  In the morning, we also offer Take T.W.O. for age 2, Little Lambs for ages 3 & 4 and Children’s Worship for ages 5 & 6.  These children will sit with their families in the sanctuary until after the Children’s Message when they can leave for these programs.

After the morning services, we enjoy a time of coffee fellowship in the Fellowship Hall located off of the foyer area.  From September through April, Sunday School and Catechism classes are held during this time for our youth from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
